First Place winner for creative writing at Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference, Colette Freedman has had over 15 major plays and adaptations produced around the world including "First to the Egg" (Grand Prize winner Urber Insider, Semi finalist Turnip Festival), "Ruby Slipper" (Semi finalist ATC Theatre Fest), "Shoshannah’s Shabbat” (Finalist at The Actors Theatre of Louisville Short Play Festival), "Bridesmaid #3” (Semi finalist Riant Play Festival and Strawberry Theatre Fest) “Serial Killer Barbie” (Brooklyn Publishers). Other produced plays include “Sister Cities”, “Soap Boxing”, “Deconstructing the Torah” "Field Hockey Legs", "Looking for Atticus Finch", "Cross", "Trick or Treat", "Rock, Paper, Scissors", and her modern adaptation of “Iphigenia at Aulis”. Her plays have been seen in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Alaska, Minnesota, Florida, Pennsylvania and England.      

In film, her script “Princess Camp” is currently in development. Her television show “WWJD” is in consideration at Disney and she has two novels which are currently being shopped around. 

Her hit play "Sister Cities" is being turned into a feature length film by Stella Productions and had its New York Premiere last fall at the Terry Schreiber Studio.

Colette also does script doctoring for films and plays, writes and produces and directs commercials. She has won 53 Telly, Communicator and International Summit Awards for her directing and writing.
