Troy is the winner of the Claire Donaldson Prize for Playwrighting with his play Afterpiece and the Drury University Playwrighting Award for his play Mr. Wexler. His play The Plot is being published (Smith & Kraus) Best Play for Two Characters, 2007, and his play Sister Snell, Best Play for Three or More Characters, 2008.
In film, Mark has projects in development at Columbia Pictures, Castle Rock Entertainment, and MGM. He has worked with Rob Reiner, Tom Hanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Robin Williams. Mark wrote an early draft of the The Guru with Heather Graham. His new feature Family Matters is being produced by Willie Kutner. And he is working on a feature Sweepstakes with producer John Fogel. Mark also does script doctoring for many film and TV shows. He also wrote the cult classic Zipperface. The independent feature he co-wrote, Driving Me Crazy starring Joe Bologna, Renee Taylor, Mickey Rooney, Celeste Holm, Louise Lasser, Dick Cavett and Maxine Bahns, is in production.
Mark has taught/lectured at Harbor College, Gettysburg College, Queens College, Learning Tree University, Universal Studios, Learning Annex, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Temecula Film Festival, Flatland Writer’s Conference, the Burbank Schools, and many theater groups around the country. He is a member of the Writer’s Guild of America and the Dramatist Guild of America.
